Microlearning Services

How did the Microlearning as a Service (MaaS) get started?

Students were not allowed to physically access their practicum sites. Hence, Microlearning Services was developed in collaboration with many partners and offered collaborative practicum opportunities. MaaS was also an avenue for implementing planned face to face 4th First Nations Knowledge Services Without Borders Institute Gathering in April of 2020. We had planned a week-long event which was split into once a week for five weeks. Microlearning was started in March of 2020. From March 2020 to May 2021 we have offered more than 225 microlearning sessions.

·????????Virtual practicum and work integrated learning (WIL) for students

·????????Instructors and staff professional development

·????????Implement the face to face programs planned in March of 2020

·????????Early onboarding for students registered in blended programs
