The first Meeting to come...and then go...

The first meeting for the two nationalist strongmen (at least on the appearance) is scheduled on April 6-7, 2017. Both parties highlighted the importance but also recognized the difficualties and downplayed the possible accomplishments.

There are too many issues accumulated in the past decades, with huge gaps, on the table to address: Positioning of the Relationship and Trust; North Korea Crisis; Trade Imbalance; Market Access and Fair Competition; South China Sea Dispute; Responsible Fiscal and Monetary Policies...

Unfortunately, all these issue would not be resolved as long as the nationalist solutions are pursued..

Furthermore, the two governments may have to be prepared for the next financial crisis...
