First line of defence needs your help
Gareth W Marriott
Managing Director Australia & New Zealand at OCS, 1M and Midcity
Let me get straight to the point. COVID-19 is spread either person to person or by someone touching droplets of the virus on a hard surface and then touching their mouth, nose or eyes.
This means our front-line cleaning teams are one of the first lines of defence in fighting the spread of this rampant disease and helping to protect our most vulnerable people. I am so proud of the work they’re doing in vital sectors across both Australia and New Zealand.
What I need from each of you is two-fold. The first is to encourage those around you to activate that teamwork that our countries leaders have been advocating for. That means doing your bit to reduce contact | reduce risk | reduce spread. Stay at home if you can and wash those hands - properly!
I’m also asking you to get behind essential services to ensure we can all do our jobs – whether that’s our doctors and nurses treating those in hospital, or our cleaners helping to keep areas safe and hygienic. For OCS, that’s helping us to have access to the supplies we need, to free up capital where we can and to eliminate roadblocks.
Together we can beat this thing – but it’s going to be tough. Like nothing that most of us could ever imagine. United we have a chance to get this right.
So, I ask you – how can you help those essential services, including our frontline warriors, to keep on delivering? If you can help, reach out. This is our chance to get this right.

4 年I completely agree Gareth. This should be our first priority, as we will be theirs.
