First Light review

I received a review on my business Facebook page yesterday, and (with permission from Colin who wrote it) I'm sharing it here along with some photographs from his wedding and engagement shoot. This made me smile from ear to ear:

"Ditte came highly recommended to us both by friends and family that had used her and by other wedding suppliers we were using - so we had high expectations. Even so, we did an extensive review of 3 or 4 photographers in Scotland based on the quality of their portfolios, their ability to understand exactly what we wanted from our day and our experience in dealing with them. She came out easily on top and coupled with the recommendations we were delighted to confirm her as our wedding photographer.

From the moment we met Ditte in person to discuss our wedding day and what we wanted in more detail, we felt very comfortable with her. She was very quick to understand the nuances of what we wanted and took a detailed interest in the family and all individuals of importance to us on the day. Ditte's friendly personality and impressive responsiveness made her an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout.

We arranged to have an engagement photo shoot and we were thrilled with the photos. Neither of us are particularly fond of being in front of the camera and she was wonderful at putting us at ease and making the whole thing such a natural and pleasant experience. It was the perfect way to get familiar with Ditte and meant we were even more excited to have her a part of our wedding day.

The weather on our wedding day was far from ideal for photographs but Ditte and Chris did a truly fantastic job of capturing our day and we have many photos that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Inevitably, there were a few things we had to change last minute on the day and they both took it completely in their stride. Our family have all been in touch after reviewing the photos exclaiming there is not a single photo that isn't great (there are nearly a thousand!)
