The First leap.

On a day just like any other a new-born is born into a wild pack of wolves. The clan is large and beautiful and prides itself in its collaboration and harmony. There are a large number of elders nurturing the young ones with tales from their experiences wandering in the deep, dark woods and sharing lore of the human hunters and quicker than lightning prey. This environment is conducive to the fast-paced growth of the young cubs. This is vital because the cubs have to be quick learners in order to survive the perils of the forest. But our little cub is quite adventurous and would like to carve a path of his own. He is a rebel to the core and wants to stray from the traditional pacts set by the elders for the cubs to follow. With a beaming heart he sets out on a journey to find his own territory to try out his fresh ideas and see for himself what the world outside the pack looked like. He had only heard stories of the borders of the forest of humans that lived in a village outside the forest the other animals who had their own turfs. He wanted to see it all and learn for himself. But he was on his own. No more protection from the pack. He had to fend for himself to survive in the wild. There were so many adaptations he had to make to learn to survive in the new territory every day brought a new problem for him to solve. As he navigated the unknown turf and went deeper into the forest, it felt like he was going through a maze. He got lost many a time in the deep, dark woods with a lush canopy ofbranches above his head hiding the sun. The ground was equally dark and murky without a hint of sunlight, getting stuck in shrubs and bracken that pulled him back from his quest. He kept moving forward, following his instinct and avoiding traps on the way, not knowing night from day. At last he reached a clearing with a magnificent view of the river that coursed through the forest providing vital life to the wolf cub who had now grown into a majestic wolf. He had learned a lot of things on the way. The most important one being the power of collaboration. He knew he would not have completed his quest without the timely help from the friend he made while on his adventure, the friendly bear cub. It was the bear who taught him how to find channels of water in the dark to survive and to listen to the ground to know about approaching predators. The wolf was lost for words when he wanted to thank the bear and howled merrily prancing around it to show his immense gratitude.

As I entered the last week of my internship at Firstleap education, I can proudly say that I had the best learning experience. I knew that I was going to grow a lot professionally but was surprised by the warmth, support, and open culture that Firstleap education cultivates.The last two months have been a roller coaster ride for me with a wonderful super-energetic bunch of people at Firstleap education. There were chaotic struggles and moments to cheer. When the world taught us to keep our ambitions down for some time to tread past the COVID 19 crisis Firstleap taught me to never settle. I am grateful to my mentors Nikhil and Professor Sankalp Pratap Sir for this wonderful opportunity and room to maneuver the best learning even in the midst of a global crisis. A big thank you to the whole team for their never-ending care and support.
