First Job, First Experience
Natasa Arnaut
Complex HR and Learning Supervisor At Le Royal Meridien Place Vendome Lusail
My name is Natasa Arnaut, and I’m excited to share my journey with my followers. Through my diverse experiences across various departments, I’ve gathered valuable insights that I hope will inspire and guide others.
Let’s go back to 2017 when I had the opportunity to go abroad to London. I was young, and no one was there to teach me how important it is at that age to learn, work on my career, and figure out what I truly wanted.
I chose to work hard, make money, and finish my studies in parallel. I don’t regret it because I gained wonderful experience in the hotel industry. My first job was as a housekeeping assistant in the housekeeping department at Amba Hotel, Charing Cross, London. This job taught me to be strong and motivated me to push myself further and not give up. It was one of the easiest jobs to find at that time for someone like me who didn’t know English very well.
After gaining some experience and improving my English, I decided to try something new and had the opportunity to work as a chef at Japanese Canteen, London. I was able to add a touch of love to every dish I cooked. It was an amazing experience to see how things operate in the back of the house and to explore new ideas that enriched my experience. Unfortunately, when COVID-19 hit, I lost my job, which forced me to return to my country.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures from that time. I will just add the logo to remember.
