First Jen

I am a first-generation American (first Jen….get it?) and a direct product of the American Dream. I am also a very proud New Yorker. Put these two things together and it’s not hard to see why I could not be more delighted to join the board of the Museum of the City of New York (MCNY).

New York City gave a very young woman in her 20s “her shot.” In no other city in the world could I have grown my tiny little PR agency into the largest communications and marketing firm in the world focused on the financial sector.

Think about it: I was a young woman with no particularly notable background, network, or connections. I just had a vision and a lot of chutzpah and hustle. Thanks to 美国哥伦比亚大学商学院 , another great New York City institution, I was able to secure a prestigious New York credential, which further fueled my entrepreneurial venture.

On April 12, the Museum of the City of New York debuted the exhibition Picturing Immigration: Preservation in Progress. Visitors can see live restoration of a historically significant painting, Samuel Bell Waugh's colossal 16-foot The Bay and Harbor of New York - one of the earliest known images of New York City immigration - while learning about how MCNY preserves objects in its collection.

I’m thrilled to serve alongside the amazing Stephanie Hill Wilchfort , director and president of MCNY. Like me, she is a proud Columbia Business School graduate who has a far-reaching vision, dreams big and loves New York passionately. I’m looking forward to being a part of the journey ahead.
