First ITH Cohort – Inchcape Talent Hotbed by Inchcape Digital Delivery Centre

The first Inchcape Talent Hotbed cohort has finished with excellent results.

Inchcape Talent Hotbed – ITH is a study group created by Inchcape Digital Delivery Centre Colombia to have a technological impact on poor populations or people with disabilities.

This process started in February with the foundations searching. Those were invited to be part of the ITH project led by Diana Contreras, ITH Product Owner. The Fundación Otero Lievano was one of our principal allies because they led us to use their building, so the participants could go daily to get the tech training.

“The objective is to support people who haven’t had the work or academic opportunities, to easily get a job with the tech knowledge they gained through the training,” says Contreras.

Diana started the selection process with 78 people, she preselected 21, and in the end, 18 people were selected to be part of the ITH study group.

The classes were led by Fifteen hundred (1500) professors, who taught their students HTML, CSS, project management method, Fullstack development, C#, data structure, repositories, and action for six weeks.

At Inchcape Digital Delivery Center, we're happy to share that 11 people graduated from the first ITH cohort, and seven were hired to be part of the DDC in the Business Applications and Service Management platforms.

“I heard of ITH through the Fundación Otero. This experience was unique because I got the chance to learn, met incredible people, and the DDC gave me a job opportunity. I hope I can keep learning, grow professionally at Inchcape, and share this with my children,” says Patricia Patrina, one of the ITH participants.

Finally, we want to announce that the second ITH cohort will be 100% focused on women; it will be held in the second semester of 2022 and will be led by Erika Barragán, the new ITH product owner.

“At the DDC, we’re committed to promoting Diversity and Inclusion in our workspace, positively impacting our ecosystems and society,” says Carla Aguilera, DDC HR leader.

Congratulations to our graduates and those who are part of the Inchcape Digital Delivery Center’s family.
