First International Flight departs from New Gawadar Airport to Muscat
International flights have officially started at New Gwadar International Airport, with Pakistan International Airlines' (PIA) first flight departing for Muscat.
The same aircraft arrived from Karachi earlier as flight PK 503 and will operate the return flight PK 504 in the afternoon. The airport, capable of handling larger Airbus and Boeing aircraft, is currently using ATR planes due to lower passenger numbers.
However, with growing demand, Airbus aircraft are expected to be used soon. The airport's development is expected to boost investment in Gwadar.
