As the year draws to it's end we look back at some of the extraordinary illustration pieces that we have shared on our social media accounts this year. It has spanned the fields of editorial, publishing, animation, marketing and advertising and we are so looking forward to what 2025 will bring.
Our first Four x Four of December brings you a taste of fascinating work from four of our artists. Today we will look a little more closely at the creative talent of Cat O'Neil, Charlotte Knox, Ailsa Johnson, and Meilo So.
?If you would like to see more, we would be delighted to hear from you. Alternatively, you can visit our website, social media or Behance pages.
Cat O'Neil creates some of the most beautiful and insightful pieces for a variety of editorial publications including the Financial Times, Washington Post, Scientific American the Guardian. ?This cover artwork for Time Magazine graced the cover of the Health Pro section and accompanied an in-depth, technically complex article on new treatments for Lupus.?
Cat's artistic response to the brief was to undertake a huge amount of personal research and the resulting delicate handling of the subject matter really added to the understanding of the condition. This piece achieves what every great illustration should - it is informative, engaging, sensitive to those portrayed and brings clarity to difficult topics.

Meilo worked closely with restaurant critic/restaurateur, Chua Lam for many years and when he made the decision to open a chain of innovative (and delicious) Dum Sum restaurants she was a perfect choice for the interior decoration. ?This blossomed into a full range of packaging design, marketing materials and merchandising which has now rolled out across China.
Her approachable yet sophisticated style mirrors Chua Lam's warmth and charm and brings energy to these beautiful eateries!
If you would like to see more of Meilo's beautiful work, do visit our website or join us on social media. ?Alternatively, you can view our Behance pages which are updated regularly with new and interesting pieces as they are launched.
Having spent several years immersed in the fascinating culture of Tokyo, Ailsa Johnson decided to capture her experiences through a collection of striking images that span the divide between the real and the imagined. This collection has received a beautiful review in Pen Magazine which is definitely worth a read.?
Ailsa's stylish icons with their reduced palette and clean lines, give a contemporary twist to traditional items and subject matter.

Charlotte Knox has a friendly, long standing relationship with the designers at Stromme Throdsen Design in Norway. ?Her exquisite botanical illustrations appear on a range of food packaging, from juices to yoghurts and each one brings a fresh wholesomeness to the product. ?The majority of the work is created from life and she often to be found in the markets of London sourcing exotic vegetables and fruit.
In addition, Charlotte has a huge back catalogue of digitally stored artwork which includes fish, fruit, vegetables, cooked products and flowers and they are available for re-use if your schedule is on the tight side!
