1st Edition: Never Settle and Never Give Up

As we say goodbye to 2022, for the first full edition of our newsletter, here’s a summary of our posts over the last two weeks:

Don’t settle in your career.? Expect and get what you need.

Client testimonial video with Melissa:

Don’t do it.? Seriously, please do not do it.? Don’t settle.? You, your work, your livelihood, and your quality of life are all at stake.? I know that doing a job search is a stress packed roller coaster ride, AND that next IDEAL ROLE where you are making the impact you’ve always dreamed of? is TOTALLY WORTH IT.? Plus, when we work together, you are not alone.? I’m pulling you through the black holes, shining a spotlight on the twists and turns to have you arrive at the desired destination on time.

Watch this super short video to find out how I was able to help Melissa get her 2023 off to the BEST START EVER in a new marketing leadership role.??

Is it possible?

Yes, you can really have it.? You can find your IDEAL job that has EVERYTHING you want.? My client was out of work, and spinning in overwhelm with very little results.?

Working together I saw she was SERIOUS by doing the work, investing in herself, spending the time and money for a laser focused job search.? We got crystal clear clarity on her brand, and communicated that in her LinkedIn profile.

Guess what happened?? A recruiter contacted her regarding an amazing opportunity that she was hired for last week.? She’ll be starting off 2023 working in her IDEAL role.

Watch my video for one of my LinkedIn tips that got her discovered and eventually hired for this role.

Are YOU looking for a new job right now?

Somebody blurted it out in the middle of the meeting as it hit us all at the same time.

Everybody’s looking.? I was on one of the many calls I regularly attend to connect and support fellow HR colleagues.? HR professionals bond because we’ve seen our share of skeletons in employer closets, which is an excellent reason to have us in your network.? Tell us about your target company list, and we’ll give you the inside scoop on why you may want to reconsider XYZ Company.??

Back to the meeting where several individuals were looking for a better opportunity.? We discussed why each person was looking and today’s poll is why are YOU looking for a new job?

?? More compensation

?? Less workload

?? Want hybrid/WFH environment

?? None of the above

Have you experienced this during? your career??

It seems like everyone has experienced this at some point in their career.? My google search yielded over 2 billion results.? Today’s poll question is what action did? you take when you were in a toxic work environment?

?? Ignored/kept working?

?? Reported to HR

?? Found a new job

?? At least two of the above

in this active poll as your voice counts!

We have control over OUR actions and behavior.? Don’t be a victim.? We have a choice.? Take intentional action toward the fulfilling work you crave, and leave a toxic work environment or anything else that doesn’t serve you behind.

Resolution or Intention in 2023?

This word gets thrown around a lot these days.? I know I’m constantly using it.? What’s the definition of “intentional” anyway?? Google defines it as done on purpose, deliberate.??

Wikipedia goes on to explain: Intentions are mental states in which the agent commits themselves to a course of action. Having the plan to visit the zoo tomorrow is an example of an intention.? The action plan is the content of the intention while the commitment is the attitude towards this content.

?? This quote defines it quite nicely to me.? How do YOU define intentional?
