The First Bit of Growth is Good... and a Little Bit Strange

Well, something happened this week that was a first for my journey with CaptureFully .
A stranger joined our team.
I was on my phone about to post something and I saw a strange notification. I am logged into all our company social media accounts, so getting a notification about a comment or a share from one of CaptureFully's posts wasn't weird at all. But this one was a job announcement. From someone I had never met.
Not just ANY job announcement, though. This was apparently this person's "Dream Job!" Here's a quick clip of their quote:
I am THRILLED to share that as of today, your are looking at the North Carolina Community Promotions Manager for CaptureFully, an AMAZING servant-centered company with a mission to learn from those that came before us, & to pass down our legacies to those after us! YES, MY LITERAL DREAM JOB. How is this real.
Even though we've only been technically in business for two months, our core team has been developing and building the business for over a year. And I've had a very strong say-so in every hire that we've made. So to see someone post about how excited they are to join the team was a shock.
But to see someone SO pumped about joining a team and a mission that I AM so pumped about, I couldn't help but be moved and excited.
"Who is this person that I don't know that seems so perfect for our company? And why I am so happy for them??!"
I was so conflicted. For like 2.8 seconds.
The thing is, I don't need to know. We're moving, baby. And we're moving fast.

As a matter of fact, this is the second new hire we've made this week. And more are coming this month. AND, one of our StoryGuide partners (those who conduct the interviews) texted me and said they had a friend that was interested in coming aboard after they learned about our company over a friendly lunch.
It's strange, this thing you've built starting to move on its own without you hovering over it or helping it through the door.
Kinda like my baby boy, who's now running around the house, able to reach up and get his own snacks.
It's what you (as a founder, or a parent) want, but it's simultaneously giving the tiniest taste of bittersweetness.
But if I fast-forward a year from now—hell, six months from now—I hope we have a lot of people I've never met before.
This is the goal. This is the team we're building to accomplish our mission. And if we are all aligned, which we are, then I have faith that anyone who comes on board will be the right, fit, too. And they will jump right on the rocket.
As my mom once said, "Sometimes you have to know when to use the reigns and when to use your spurs."
And right now, CaptureFully needs my spurs. LFG.
