Hi!
Here are the three most relevant points that I explored during the week and decided to share with you. I hope you find them useful!
In this edition we’ll talk about:
Now, let’s start!
1. First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
Last week, I made the decision to obtain a First Aid/CPR/AED Certification at the American Red Cross.
This training allowed me to delve into the essential principles of providing Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation, attending to an individual's physiological well-being, and effectively assessing and ensuring their safety until professional help arrives.
Throughout the training, our instructor emphasized a crucial point: when faced with critical situations where we are helping someone, it is important to acknowledge that OUR OWN physiology and psychology can be significantly affected by the surge of adrenaline and rapid thoughts.
This realization made me re-affirm the wisdom of?Archilochus, who once said, "You do not rise to the level of your expectations. You fall to the level of your training."
By acknowledging the impact of our own reactions during emergencies, it becomes clear that our training plays a pivotal role in effectively responding to such situations.
So, how about taking a First Aid certification? Having the knowledge will provide confidence during a critical moment.
2. Quote to Think About

3. Neurographic Art
A few months ago, my friend Julia Dars introduced me to Neurographic Art, and ?and it reignited my passion for drawing.
Neurographic Art is a technique created in 2014 by Pavel Piskarev and it's used to enable a state of flow ("to be in the zone"), a high level of immersion in the activity, stillness of the mind and emotions, and more.
I like to think of it as "drawing-therapy."
From the website: "The Theory of Neurographica is built on scientific principles using the knowledge of visual thinking in combination with the laws and patterns identified by various schools of psychology. Namely: neuropsychology, analytical psychology, Gestalt psychology, Psychosynthesis, social psychology and modern management theory."
Despite the complex theoretical background, the technique itself is simple and accessible to beginners like myself. All you need to do is sit down, place a piece of paper in front of you, and start drawing lines. Some lines may intersect, and for those that do, you gently curve them, avoiding corners or straight lines. Afterwards, you can color different sections of your artwork. That's it.

This is an example of one of my neurographic drawings. I know it "makes no sense" and that's the point.
Remember:?Trying to always make sense, doesn't make sense. Just allow yourself to do it and let me know what you discover ??.
