First 1,000 Days at Fractal
A Story of Growth, Impermanence, and Learning !
When I sat down to reflect on my time at Fractal, my mind didn’t measure it in years, but in days. A day is a dot—a moment of effort, learning, winning, failing, unlearning, or just being. It’s strange, really, but that’s how these 1,000 days feel to me: a collection of dots, scattered yet connected, shaping who I am.
Each day tested my ego, tinkered with my biases, and revealed both my strengths and my weaknesses. Workplaces, they say, aren’t permanent, and I agree. I don’t think much about permanence. But I do believe that workplaces should help build your signature, your unique stamp. These 1,000 days? They’ve been about doing just that.
From Certainty to Chaos
Moving from the polished, predictable rhythm of management consulting to the dynamic, constraint-filled world of Fractal was like swapping a GPS for a blank map.
The transition wasn’t smooth—it was rocky and messy. But here’s the thing: I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I came to Fractal expecting growth, but I didn’t realize how constraints—tight deadlines, limited resources, and my own limits—would be the fuel for that growth. They forced me to think deeper, push harder, and create smarter. The discomfort wasn’t pleasant, but it was necessary. I found breakthroughs in places I didn’t even know to look. It’s funny how struggles become the best teachers, how constraints unlock creativity, and how resilience sneaks up on you when you need it most.
Breaking Comfort to Build Character
One moment stands out. It was day five of working on a proposal. I’d poured myself into a 46-slide deck, thinking it was perfect—only to learn the client just wanted a two-page summary. That day, I felt my comfort zone snap.
It wasn’t about the slides. It was about learning to distill ambiguity, find clarity, and offer simplicity in the midst of complexity.
It was humbling, but it was also liberating. That lesson? It’s stuck with me ever since.
There were other days, too, when I fumbled through projects, stretched beyond my knowledge, and exposed my blind spots. I felt like I was failing. But with every stumble, I learned something new: growth is rarely graceful, but it’s always worth it.
The Hard Truth About Vulnerability
Stepping out of my comfort zone wasn’t just hard—it was awkward, messy, and often embarrassing. There were moments when I questioned my worth, when I doubted my choices. But looking back, those missteps weren’t just failures; they were formative.

I’ve learned that failure isn’t the end—it’s the beginning.
Every time I’ve had to stand by my principles or reassess them, it’s shaped me into a more intentional, grounded version of myself. Growth, I’ve come to realize, is built on vulnerability.
The Power of Minute Moves
Here’s the biggest insight from my 1,000 days - The smallest actions create the biggest shifts
A 25-minute meeting can lead to 25 actionable possibilities. A nudge in the right direction—a thoughtful question, a new habit—can spark monumental change.
Fractal has taught me to appreciate these small moves, not just at work but in life. Change doesn’t always require grand gestures. Often, it’s about showing up, staying present, and taking one step at a time.
What’s Next
As I look back on these 1,000 days, I feel immense gratitude—for the challenges, the failures, the breakthroughs, and the people. These days haven’t just shaped my career; they’ve shaped my perspective, my values, and my purpose.
I don’t know what lies ahead, but if the past 1,000 days have taught me anything, it’s this: the dots always connect. And the journey is always worth it.
Here’s to what comes next—the next dot. Bold, curious, contagious. All I bring is my unwavering 100%.
It’s in these dots, small as they seem, that I’ve found the most value. And the relationships built along the way? They’re the glue.
There’s a bond that forms when you’re in the trenches with a team, solving challenges together. Those connections—fuelled by trust, respect, and shared purpose—are among the most meaningful I’ve ever made.
