Now a days automation integrations are moving its criteria from luxurious to needs, to move process flow smoothly. Automation saves a good mount of time and cost to monitor any Equipments.
Recently I offered an effective solution to one customer who has a local made Fire Panel which placed at site. The Fire Panel gave output in Dry Contacts. A Boiler at the same site communicates on BACnet IP.
Customer want to know the On / Off status of the Fire Panel Detectors. For an instance, if the Fire Panel Detectors status gets “ON”, customer would receive an SMS Notification showing “ON” as the status of Fire Panel Detector.
Similarly, customer wanted to get the status of Temperature via SMS Notification. For an instance if the set temperature of Boiler is 25° C and when the temperature goes below 25° C, customer would receive an SMS Notification as “Low”.
If the temperature of Boiler goes above 30° C, customer would receive an SMS Notification as “Critical’.
I recommended the Shubham Gateway Model PG350-103-129 for this requirement. Using this, the gateway would read the data from Boiler which supports BACnet IP Protocol and at the same time would read the data from Fire Panel that supports Dry Contacts and serve the data via SMS.
Shubham Gateway supports 1 x RS485 Port, 1 x RS232 Port, 1 x Ethernet Port, 4 Dry Contacts Output and SMS Notification to n numbers.
Using Shubham Converter customer was successfully notified about the status of Fire Panel Detector and Boiler Temperature via SMS.
