The 50 most promising Israeli startups - 2022 :?The time around around Yom Ha'atzmaut is always a good time to press the ‘pause’ button, and reflect on how far Israel has progressed. And of course, consider the good and the bad. There are plenty of investors who don’t necessarily look at this cooling off period as a bad thing… many startups without good fundamentals were funded during these wild times, but the cycle continues with good times possibly ending.

This is a good recap, and it should be noted that the Israeli ecosystem has grown, and broken fund-raising records thought unimaginable a few years before. A note on COVID, Israel despite a highly political COVID policy (like every other country) was able to come out stronger from the pandemic, but that’s also the case with the tech industry globally. There is something to be said about resilience, and while it looks like we’ll be entering a downturn, strong companies with solid business models and revenue will weather this storm.

Personally, while I do work with a number of Israeli investors and founders, and write for a number of Israel based publications feel some of the best stories have not been written yet… and that diamonds will emerge from the rough.
