1?? Mollie customers can now use their iPhone and the Mollie iOS app to accept contactless payments (?????????? ?????? ???? ??????) without the need to purchase or manage additional hardware. Tap to Pay on iPhone – which Mollie launched in November for its 250,000 customers in The Netherlands, France and Germany – is now available to its merchants in Austria????, Italy???? and the United Kingdom????

2?? Elon Musk's social media platform X announced the launch of a digital wallet and peer-to-peer payments services provided by Visa. X struck a deal with Visa to be the first partner for what it is calling the X Money Account, CEO Linda Yaccarino announced in a post on the platform. It’s the “first of many big announcements about X Money this year,” Yaccarino said in the post.

3?? Revolut is moving into commercial real estate lending. The London-headquartered neobank enlisted Duncan Batty, who previously led the real estate finance platform at M&G Investments, to oversee the new business. Batty will be responsible for building the commercial real estate lending unit from scratch.

This initiative enables a simple, and convenient way for consumers to transfer money directly from their bank accounts. It eliminates the need for credit cards or third-party services, offering users a faster and more secure checkout experience.

5?? Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. launches Truth Fi with a focus on “American growth, manufacturing, and energy companies as well as investments that strengthen the Patriot Economy.” This will develop separately managed accounts, ETFs and Bitcoin in partnership with Charles Schwab Corp.

6?? N26’s growth surges as Regulatory hurdles fade, and eyes profitability in 2025. Germany’s top FinTech, N26, is seeing strong growth, with revenues up 40% in 2024 to €440 million and expected to rise another 30-40% this year. Despite a €20 million net loss last year due to regulatory adjustments, the bank has been operating profitably since mid-2024.

7?? JUSPAY is set to become the first unicorn ?? of 2025. The company is in the process of raising $?????? ??????????????. It has been instrumental in defining India's digital payment ecosystem. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) called in Juspay's expertise to build its Unified Payments Interface (UPI) app, BHIM.

8?? BaFin cracks down hard on PAYONE. A recent audit by Germany’s financial regulator, BaFin, uncovered significant shortcomings in PAYONE’s anti-money laundering (AML) measures and IT processes. As a result, the payment provider must now hold additional capital reserves and will be assigned a special commissioner to oversee corrective actions.
