Welcome to the eighth article of the Next Gen Fintech (NGF) Newsletter, where we provide with insights on the disruptive fintech world. Nowadays, Fintech is becoming more and more important, so I wanted to share with you some learning resources that you can benefit from if you want to know more about the area.

Educational Platforms & Courses:

• Coursera & Udemy - Look for courses like FinTech Foundations and Overview by the University of Hong Kong on Coursera, or The Complete FinTech Bootcamp on Udemy. These courses cover everything from digital payments to blockchain technologies.
• edX - The FinTech Professional Certificate by the University of Hong Kong offers a structured dive into this domain, covering regulatory environments, business models, and technologies that are shaping the industry.

YouTube Channels:

• Andrei Jikh - Perfect for personal finance and basic FinTech concepts.
• FinTech Academy - Offers detailed insights into FinTech innovations and interviews with industry leaders.

Newsletters and Blogs:

• The Financial Brand - Must-read for anyone interested in the latest FinTech trends and insights.
• Finextra - Subscribe to their newsletter for daily updates on technology and solutions driving financial services.
• Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) Blog - Provides high-quality articles and analysis on the future of finance and technology by one of the leading venture capital firms in the FinTech space.

Follow Industry Leaders:

• Chris Skinner - An influential figure in FinTech, Chris offers deep insights into digital banking and finance innovations.
• Cathie Wood - Follow her to get perspectives on investment in disruptive technologies including FinTech.

You can also pursue internships in fintech companies, such as Kantox, Benext, or Daypay in Barcelona.

As far as I am concerned, I pursued this summer the Fintech summer program at HEC Paris where I had the opportunity to analyse many business models, and connect with industrial leaders. I strongly recommend you this program or any similar ones in other prominent universities!
