The FINTECH Bridge China-UK Conference brings Finance Leaders to London on 11 Dec 2018

FINTECH Circle organizes the first, invite-only FINTECH Bridge Conference China-UK on the 11th December 2018 in the City of London followed by a 2-day Fintech Course at the University of Cambridge.

The FINTECH Bridge Conference starts with a Welcome Speech by the Chinese Government represented by Minister Jiang (Minister for Science Technology, Embassy of the People's Republic of China) and partners with China's Global Fintech Lab, Allen & Overy, Standard Life Aberdeen, and Cicero and is committed to facilitate investment and business trade deals through building cross-border connections between 100 decision makers including fintech company leaders, government representatives, financial firms, tech giants, investors, scale-ups and academia from both China and the UK. In addition to the invite only Conference, there will be a Deal Signing Boardroom to allow fintech companies, investors, tech giants and financial institutions to announce new China & UK investment and trade deals in front of the international media.

The Conference covers a variety of topics by exploring the fintech opportunities under the China Belt & Road Initiative, FCA’s Global Sandbox, Green Finance and Inclusive Finance and how new technologies such as artificial intelligence/machine learning and Blockchain impact the Finance sector. The topics will be covered through Panels, Keynotes and a Chinese-UK FinTech Pitching Competition/Demos in front of institutional and HNW investors with an award ceremony for the best UK and Chinese Fintech Scaleups in the evening.

  • Sherry Madera, former Minister and Director at the British Embassy Beijing and now Special Adviser Asia for the City of London Corporation
  • Dr. Tong Cao, the former President of WeBank (Tencent's owned Internet Bank), he also served as Vice President of The Export-Import Bank Of China and as Vice President of China CITIC Bank Corporation. He is the Chairman of HandeFinMaker and one of China's most influential people in Fintech. He also supports the Chinese government on financial reforms.
