Finland shows the way to electrify moving things sustainably – Come see yourself at the EVS35 event

The green transition is catching speed all over the world and electrification is leading the way in the field of transportation. Sustainably produced batteries and energy storage solutions are a necessity for the transportation and heavy-duty machine industry, among others, to meet the strict CO2 emission targets in the years to come.

Passenger cars, trucks and ships are turning electric as we speak. Heavy-duty machinery used in construction, mining and forestry is getting fossil-free and, eventually, emission-free. Battery manufacturing facilities are being raised at a fast pace.

Finland is known for its innovations and its ability to transform at times of change.

The need for drastic change is imminent and the green solutions are needed now. Finland is a significant player in this transition through its strong Smart Mobility and Batteries from Finland offering.

Finnish competences can be found across the whole battery value chain, but especially in the verticals of sustainable battery minerals, battery solutions, electrification applications and recycling. Research activities cover the whole value chain ensuring future proof technologies and solutions and – very importantly – sustainability.

Finland is also active in the Nordic Battery Collaboration together with Norway and Sweden with the aim of tightening the Nordic battery value chain and increasing cooperation in the Nordics and internationally.
