Finishing Strong in 2022

This time of the year, it can be easy to go into autopilot. As tempting as it may be to coast into the end of 2022, don’t do it.?

Instead of putting things off until the New Year, do your best to stay consistent in team performance these next couple months. It will put you farther ahead long-term and you may even surpass certain goals that have been set.

I’m not saying you should expect your team to miss important family gatherings and holiday celebrations, but don’t get lazy. You can set a tone of hard work without being unreasonable.?Here are two ideas to consider:

  1. Gamify the mundane. Think of a repetitive task or process your people don’t enjoy. It could be anything from a weekly report to submitting a timesheet. Find a way they can improve, and then reward performance. A gift card will likely be extra appreciated this time of the year.
  2. Host a team field day. Pick a day to have everyone come into the office and spend the morning collaborating on a certain project or goal. Then in the afternoon, leave the office for a team activity.?
