FINISHING the MARATHON should feel great. It doesn't mean running in general is over but it marks a substantial accomplishment.

I have a great FINISHING announcement today with an international team from Costa Rica, the Netherlands, and Bahrain. We published an article on RAPADAPTE for rapid guideline development: high-quality clinical guidelines can be rapidly developed with limited resources.

The work to create a high-quality national guideline for breast cancer treatment in Costa Rica with 90 evidence-based recommendations in five months occurred in 2011. The effort to report this in English and describe a methodology that guideline developers can use and adapt has taken almost five years, so it feels like FINISHING a MARATHON today.
