Finish Strong Friday Song and Thoughts, July 23, 2021
Dear Colleagues and Friends:
Finish Strong Friday Email Issue #172
I fail to recognize your effort enough. This challenging school year has drawn to a close. Thank you for caring. Thank you for a kind word or gentle look. Thank you for your smile or acknowledgment. Thank you for preparing, delivering, correcting, coaching, teaching, and starting from scratch. Thank you for reading, writing, and learning. Thank you for teaching everything from the sound and shape of letters to Language and Composition, from recognizing numbers and counting to Calculus, from weather and the life cycle of the butterfly to Advanced Placement Physics, thousands of other foundational learning skills, and discrete content areas. Thank you for engaging in the complex task of developing human potential, guiding decisions, restoring relationships, and encouraging critical thinking. Thank you for an amazing school year.???????????????????????????????
As we recharge our batteries, the summer presents us with an opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Enjoy the absence of time constraints, hard deadlines, and competing priorities. Breathe, hydrate, relax, recreate, make a record of your ideas, thoughts, and goals.
Next year holds new promise.
Sincerely, Bob

Just like all students are capable of learning, every teacher is also capable of learning. Develop the mindset that everyone in the school is a learner, not just the students. We must test our own beliefs and practices and continue to grow and change. - David Geurin
Why is 'x' the symbol for an unknown??In?3?minutes:?49?Seconds,?Terry Moore gives the funny and surprising answer. Great way to start off a Pre-Algebra or Algebra class this fall. https://www.ted.com/talks/terry_moore_why_is_x_the_unknown?referrer=playlist-talks_for_people_who_hated_mat
If you copy and paste the graphics or sayings onto a word document they make great posters.?
