Finish the sentence: I regret …

Now, a few people said, ‘I regret not working harder and ‘I regret not being more successful.’ One guy said, ‘I regret not driving a nicer car.’ No. The most universal, common answer that I received was, ‘I regret not travelling more.’
Tells global adventurer Robin Esrock in his Ted talk. And this made us think.
Time is fleeting while we are so caught up in our day-to-day life. Regrets are pealing up, yet we hear this cliché saying in the back of our heads‘ life is too short to have any regrets'
Let’s admit it; we are all busy people with urgent priorities. Travelling the world and exploring cultures are not at the top of our list. Of course, who wouldn’t want to quit their jobs and travel around the globe with a backpack? However, it’s not that easy.
Yet we wake up every day feeling like we are missing so much. There are always new people we can meet and new doors we can open. Still, we continue pushing our travelling plans further back of the list.
But what does travelling mean in the end? It’s a learning experience. It’s a way of escaping our stressful lives to be part of something bigger. It’s about connecting with different cultures and learning to adapt and be more flexible. It’s about getting lost in rich histories and happy memories. It’s about falling in love with your curiosity.
So, should we surrender and leave our priorities behind or accept that travelling is just for holidays?
These can’t be the two options. That’s why as Piri Guide, it’s our mission to keep supporting curious minds and open doors.
