Tragedy is always hard for a creative department to handle. A 10 year old girl was brutally murdered in Albuquerque. As a television station, we are part of the community and have a calling to help our neighbors mourn. But we also have a duty to uncover why it happened. See below how my department walked the line between honoring a little girl's life and investigating the accused murderers.
Promoting a station successfully during a sensitive time is a skill few people have in this industry. And I will admit, working on these spots was emotional, but I also believe they are important and speak to something bigger than just a brand or station promotion.
The first spot here is honoring Victoria Martens. The story is hard to hear, so google her name if you would like to know more. The next three spots are a POP donut that will be constantly updated with new aspects of Target 7's Investigation.
