A Fine Friendship

I have always been someone who highlights relationships in life. Family or otherwise. What else are we here for? We are social beings and interaction help us learn about more than ourselves, and our surroundings.?

Fortunately, work has always helped me cross paths with some wonderful people, giving me the chance to discuss much more than work. Along the way, these relationships changed from professional connections to beautiful friendships!?

One such friendship is mine with Anant! I am so happy about this one, because we bonded over much more than work. I remember all the fun meetings when I was in Mumbai, or he was in Delhi, and all the great times we all used to have at the Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival in Himachal. Music and the hills truly brings everyone together and we all had many memorable years at the festival.?

He has always been encouraging of the work we do at GBCW, Genesis Foundation, KRBF and more! Here is a little something about him!

Anant’s association with GBCW goes back to the year 2000 when he was the editor of Interact magazine. He first met Nikhil from the GBCW team and then Prema. Both have been wonderful associations for Anant and have grown into meaningful friendships in the last decade and more.?

Anant describes his relationship with GBCW as a multidimensional one. “When we meet, we don’t just talk about work. We speak about books, Genesis Foundation, cancer and a myriad of other things,” says Anant with warmth in his voice.?

Anant describes Genesis as a school of PR. To him, it is an achievement of the firm that the most successful PR professionals in the industry today have passed through the portals of GBCW and some of them even have their own businesses.??

“I think overall GBCW is ahead of its peers. And while GBCW Live! Newsroom is a landmark achievement, GBCW should continue to be on top of technology and must empower the business with technology. More rigor must come in. I wish them luck!”
