Product Recommendation: An elevated way to wear your office supplies
When Designer Barbara Cadorna was in college, her roommate was almost as art-crazed as she was: she would buy miniatures of collector’s items, ranging from things like milk cartons to clorox wipes tins, with the purpose of making earrings out of them. Cadorna loved the jewelry so much that she turned to StudioCult, a jewelry company that makes some of the coolest earrings out there, like these paper clip earrings.
“I love how the brand transformed these pedestrian items into luxurious fashion. I’ve bought a handful of single earrings, like fish hooks, can tabs, screws, and more,” says Cadorna. “I would say one of my personal attributes is that I am somewhat unorthodox, and these earrings reinforce that image.”

Dream Studio: Drew Dzwonkowski’s Treehouse

Ever wanted to work in a treehouse? So does Sports Illustrated Art Director Drew Dzwonkowski, who told us:?
“I have fantasized about living and working in a gigantic treehouse, like the coziest possible environment, like a Swiss Family Robinson style sandbox grown a thousand feet high that allows for all sorts of wish-fulfillment-kid-fantasy-sports-scenarios and solarpunk architecture. I’ve been obsessed with this image for as long as I can remember, and have made all sorts of art trying to capture it. At the magazine we’ve even extended the lore of SI Kids mascot Buzz Beamer by featuring three-page stories set in a giant treehouse where a fictional staff of kids “make” the magazine…I’ve been able to live out a lot of my dream studio fantasies through these little three-page comic yarns.”

Creative Factor Event Rec: Calling all of you who live in San Francisco....?
On Wednesday, March 6 we are co-hosting an event with Ammunition Founder Robert Brunner at their SF HQ. There, we will explore the maniacal commitment creative people display in the pursuit of their ideas, dreams, and, ultimately, creative excellence.?
Robert knows this topic well. His career chapters include: Designer Director at Apple, Partner at Pentagram, Chief Designer at Beats, and now leading Ammunition Group. Some of Ammunition's more notable designs include headphones and speakers for Beats by Dre, the Square Stand, in-car icons for Lyft, and instant cameras for Polaroid.?
So, yeah, it will be a good time with lots of smart creative people from across fields. And we hear this coast is real nice and we’d love to see your faces there. Message us if you want to attend.
