How I've discovered my Niche.

How I've discovered my Niche.

From helping women ‘see themselves’ in the clothes they wear to helping solopreneurs ‘see themselves’ in the business they grow.

My journey to finding the place I belong in the marketplace has been a journey of finding myself first and honouring my wound, gifts and challenges I have gone through.

To me the purpose of niching is not just to do better in business but to find your unique place of contribution in this over-consumed and hectic world.

The place where your soul meets the world’s need for your help.

NICHE 1

I started my first business in 2015 as an Image Consultant for women. On the outside I helped them create great outfits and command respect at work and in business. On the inside I helped them change the way they saw themselves.

Thanks to something as trivial as clothes they were changing their self-image and started to claim their worth and shine.

The reason I chose this niche was because of my personal experience of finding my own unique style for years, all the dilemmas of not knowing what clothes suit me, what my identity is, trial and error and finally gaining confidence with that led me naturally to help women with the same problems I had.

Beautiful, creative and meaningful work.

I did enjoy this work initially but found myself drained out of energy, continuously running from wardrobe to wardrobe, from photoshoot to photoshoot, 2 years later this niche and style of work did not fulfil me anymore.

NICHE 2

I needed a CHANGE.

But what could I do?

I looked into my life again as I believe all answers are there.

After working with NLP Coach back in 2015 I experienced a personal transformation on many levels and so I decided to train as a master NLP coach and Life Coach in 2017 and set up my Coaching practice later that year.

My first niche was about helping female entrepreneurs become magnetic speakers and create stronger brand and success. I was doing it through mindset and self-worth coaching and added the elements of branding and image.

I remember I was super clear, I was ‘on fire’. I couldn’t stop myself but to share it everywhere, doing FB Lives every day, posting, running FB Groups, I was doing everything!

Unfortunately, I struggled to see equally great results from that that effort. Now I know that I lacked a clearer strategy to go with that niche.

But this quote you can often see in my videos kept me going:

“If you get tired learn to rest not to quit”.

So I learned to stop, rest, reflect and rethink.

P A U S E

And then Reboot!

I hired a new Coach from my native Poland and attempted to define my new niche once again.

We looked into my life.

“Is that all?” You know 9-5 workers with no life for themselves, great spirits but restricted by sheep mentality, looking around in the busy office and secretly asking themselves question “Is that really all?” “Me stuck in the office like that with 1 hour lunch and weekends of freedom” “I know I am worth to do something more meaningful”.

That was a BIG pain I experienced when working 9-5 before setting up my very first business. I decided to help people like me at the time to unchain themselves from that matrix and START FRESH, launch passion projects, or a new business!

I talked about my niche like this:

“I work with women who want to redesign their life because they don’t feel they are doing something meaningful in it.

I help them gain energy and passion to get their life on track that is right for them so that they can live in a more fulfilled and authentic way.”

I had a very specific coaching process within that niche and simple and extremely effective marketing strategy.

For a very first time I genuinely felt like a professional Coach because I knew what I was talking about and I had a clear process.

And this powerful self-image and clarity translated into attracting happy paying clients!

Those clients happened to be aspiring Coaches and heart-inspired solopreneurs so within 3 months of establishing that niche I segmented it to work with those groups rather than a broad market looking for a meaningful life.

My niche chose me...

This helped my business even more.

The initial worry of “What if this is too narrow niche, what if I will struggle to find clients for this’, 'Will people pay for it?" was false.

My network and followers loved that concrete. They were emailing me to say how great it is that I specialize, how much more attractive and compelling it sounds and started to sign up to my services because that specificity was very attractive to them.

NOW

Right now I work with coaches and solopreneurs who want to make a difference in the world yet don’t feel completely confident in their skin as expert, or a business owner.

I help them claim their worth and shine in business so they can attract perfect clients, move their work toward success and contribute to the world in a meaningful way.

As a heart-inspired solopreneur you are on a niching journey, ALL THE TIME.

With each niche you move yourself toward a truer version of yourself.

Niching is “Seeing Yourself First” in business.

When you honour yourself, your wounds and challenges as well as your skills and gifts, you are bringing to the world everything that world wanted you to experience in the service of others. Money and fulfilment are what this approach brings you.

When you don’t ‘see yourself’ first in business you chase trends, you adjust yourself for profit not for contribution. Your business might lack lightness and soul in it and often feel meaningless. You feel scattered and want to be a coach for everyone.

When you don’t know where you belong in the marketplace -you feel ‘weaker’ and often your marketing is pushy and desperate.

I am now essentially supporting coaches with what I wish I had when I was struggling with niching:
Confidence + Clarity + Strategy.

When discovering your perfect niche THINK THIS:

1.     Niching is a process not a destination

2.     Look deeply into your life for answers. Your wounds give your niche a direction, your skills and talents- gives it a shape, your personality gives it a voice, your WHY gives it a meaning.

3.     ASK: Why is it important for you to do this work?

4.     ASK: What’s the perfect moment for you to enter your client’s life?

5.     Interlink: What I love + What I am good at + What the world needs

6.     Imagine someone is knocking to your door “Knock-Knock” and you open it. You see 2 ideal clients standing there. Journal on who they are, why did they come to you? Why now? What do they really want to see changing in their life?

7.     You can succeed as both: Generalist and Specialist. Starting with a Niche is always the foundation, whether that’s a broader or narrower niche.

8.     When you are a more experienced entrepreneur or coach – look deeper into the psychographics of your clients. Ask yourself: ‘What do I admire most about them?’ ‘What has been holding them back’, ‘What’s the dark side of each quality I admire?’

The profile of someone you look in the mirror every day is the profile of your ideal client. Try that.

Happy niching!
