Finding Your Mojo: The Cadence Approach Spotlight
Leanne Spencer
Global Keynote Speaker & 3 x Bestselling Author. I talk about personal sustainability, community and finding Cadence as the keys to high performance
I’m striding through March with a bit of my old swagger, as I’ve rediscovered my mojo after a couple of years of hormonal imbalances due to perimenopause. It’s a good feeling to be more energetic and motivated, and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can achieve in the next few months. If you’re looking to regain your mojo, whether that’s physically, emotionally or mentally, my advice is to connect (or reconnect) with your strong motivating factor – essentially your why. I don’t mean your high-level overriding purpose in life, although it could be this, but your reason for wanting to change or adapt your current circumstances.?
Over a decade ago when I was a personal trainer, I trained a lady who had been given a charity marathon place. She was running for her father who was ill with MS, but when we met, she openly stated that she did very little exercise and no running at all. We started out running to the bottom of her road, and then built week on week until one sunny day in April, we met at the start line of the London Marathon. Several hours later we crossed the finish line together, hand in hand. It was a wonderful achievement for my client, but she found the training very hard. She was able to accomplish it because she stayed connected throughout the training to her strong motivating factor, her father.?
If you’re looking to make a change or regain your mojo, focus on this: what’s YOUR strong motivating factor?
We've had a great few weeks delivering keynotes for clients globally, so I also wanted to say a huge thank you to Siemens Oxbow Partners and Future for having me! All the best for now,
Leanne
