How simple practices can help you transform uncertainty into calm and confidence
It’s so easy to feel lost in the busyness of life, isn’t it? The endless to-do lists, unexpected transitions, and the sheer noise of it all can make us feel like we’ve lost touch with ourselves. I know that feeling all too well.
In the latest episode of Unchartered and Unfiltered, I talk about the practice of finding your center and why it’s so important when life feels chaotic. Inspired by Melody Beattie’s Journey to the Heart, I share personal stories, simple practices, and a reminder that you already have what you need to feel steady, even in uncertain times.
If you haven’t already, I’d love for you to listen to the episode here and explore what it means to come home to yourself.
From Leadership to Life
This episode marks a shift in the focus of my podcast. What started as Who Are You to Lead Anyway?—a space dedicated to leadership—has evolved into something broader.
Unchartered and Unfiltered is about showing up for life with curiosity, courage, and a whole lot of grace. It’s about getting real about the messy, beautiful, unfiltered moments that shape who we are. The heart of it is the same: helping you find your footing, trust yourself, and embrace the journey.
Reconnecting to Your Center
One of the things I talk about in this episode is the importance of finding calm within the chaos. For me, that’s been especially true lately as I’ve navigated selling my home and facing some big unknowns. These kinds of transitions can knock us off balance, but they also remind us of something powerful: our ability to center ourselves.
Centering isn’t about always being calm or unshakable; it’s about building the skills to come back to yourself, again and again.
A Simple Practice to Ground Yourself
Here’s one of the practices I shared in the episode—a way to reconnect with your center:
This doesn’t solve everything at once—it’s not supposed to. It’s a way to give yourself space, even in the midst of a whirlwind.
Letting Go to Move Forward
Another piece of this journey is learning to let go of what no longer serves you. That might mean stepping away from a role, a habit, or even an identity that’s kept you comfortable but stuck. It’s not about having all the answers; it’s about trusting yourself enough to take the next step.
Your Inner Compass Guide
To support you in this process, I’ve created the Inner Compass Guide. It’s a resource packed with practical exercises and reflections to help you align with your true authentic self and stay grounded through life’s twists and turns.
Subscribers to Unchartered and Unfiltered get access to this guide, as well as other tools and insights to help you navigate with confidence and calm.
