This year I decided to start sharing my story after a year of developing my digital, or "social media" voice by matching real life authenticity with the writing behind LinkedIn Paula. The world of work has been changing, and I happen to be smack dab in the center of the "automation era" and #futureofwork trends both professionally and personally.
Thus, 2020 would be the year where I'd begin to integrate work with life, and find balance between selling Intelligent Automation and working on my personal craft of storytelling. I also joined a feisty little startup called WonderBotz, so it's been really fun playing with the Wonder Woman imagery...
In in effort to see if I was the only one who thought these topics were cool or relevant collectively, I co-conducted a workshop on the art of #storytelling, a concept picking up a lot of traction in branding-related discussions used primarily by marketers. My friend and designer, Aysha Saeed was gracious enough to let us use her gorgeous studio for the debut event.
I also reached out to my graphic designer guru in LA to create a "Little Paula" because with the authenticity piece of our program, I needed a way to humanize the people who weren't comfortable posting pictures of themselves on social media.
The writer in me views "storytelling" as a methodology for conveying one's digital voice without losing the authenticity of their human voice.
I invited some of my network of renegade women to a virtual networking session; what is this you might ask? Well, we invented it. Not only did we gather a group of women in Midtown, Manhattan in my friend's studio, we also had a remote login for the ladies who wanted to join virtually!
It was fun to see them send in snapshots of the remote viewing parties with pups and on mobile going from the airport to home.
I also owe my friends at Yamaha Unified Communications a huge thank you! They brought along their expertise and equipment partners, and were gracious enough to live-stream and record the event. I have already been approached by several folks interested in a similar format, so we are now doing this "virtual networking" invention quarterly.
For those who missed it, take a peek at our 1st Virtual Networking Session: Robots are Coming! How will you stand out?
I found a way to fuse my passions together and blend work with life.
That's a little bit about my story for now. Several chapters are being formulated as we speak, and an incredible possibility of people and opportunities are waiting to meet Miss P, both digitally and in person...

5 年People should catch timeframe here took a year to build. Why does this matter? Execs and SMEs they want to be thought leaders in a market need to start now. Don’t wait till it is perfect. Publish or perish is back. Great work Little Paula.
