Finding True Happiness

Finding True Happiness

What is Happiness?

I've been thinking a lot about what it really means to be happy. In a world where people often link happiness to having lots of money and things, it's important to go back to basics and understand what true happiness all is about.

I have been fortunate to receive guidance from DongreJi Maharaj. He taught me something very important: although money can buy us nice stuff, it can't buy us real happiness.

DongreJi Maharaj believed that true happiness comes from knowing ourselves and our world. It grows when we build real connections with the people we care about and when we live with qualities like kindness and gratitude. So, happiness isn't something we find at the end of the road; it's something we experience as we learn and grow.

In today's world, it's easy to get caught up in trying to prove our happiness with fancy things, high status. But according to me, these things might make us feel good for a moment, but they won't bring lasting happiness.? Let’s consider the example of a car. Many people find happiness in purchasing a new vehicle, yet often overlook the reality that we don't bring our cars into our homes and bedrooms; instead, we park them in the garage. A car itself isn't a direct source of happiness; rather, it serves as a tool that makes our journey toward happiness possible, which ultimately lies in the bonds we share with our family and loved ones.

We should focus on what's important: building strong relationships, doing good things, and being thankful and kind. I believe that true happiness is found in simple things like spending time with loved ones and enjoying peaceful moments alone.

So, as we celebrate #InternationalHappinessDay, let's remember DongreJi Maharaj's teachings. Let's work on building meaningful relationships, doing good deeds, and being grateful and kind.

"Happiness isn't something we buy—it's something we create by being true to ourselves and caring for others."

Let's all work together to make a world where true happiness is something we all experience every day.

Sudhama, Krishna devotee, who shared his simple food with Lord, was happy, Sudhama did not even tell purpose of visit to Krishna. But Sudama was happiest to meet Krishna. Happies is not derived from wealth, As wealth grows, worry grows. Happiness depends on situation and is different for each. Deeds / Karma are one which determines happiness and sorrow. Lord Narayana has told to be even mind in both states is very difficult, and one who overcome both is yogi, Sudhama is yogi.

Very true. In search of happiness, we spoil/stress the present journey.
