Finding the *Right Idea* and Paralect's fresh look — October highlights

Since it’s a scary time of year, let’s tackle what frightens founders. Perched up on top of the list has to be the fear that they poured time and effort into an idea only to find the product falls flat at launch.

A valid fear — but one we can thoroughly eliminate with a proper idea validation process. Let’s go confront this scarecrow ??

Meanwhile, in the Product Lab, Viktoria Muha and the team have discovered an app idea that may educate?and?engage children.

It’s an opportunity that grew out of the validation process for a plant identification app. Our current hypothesis is that it could bloom into a fun, edifying and successful product. Read all about the first stage of idea validation here ??

Staying on-brand

Along with the website update, Elena Levkovich from our design team has?shared a sneak peek?of our new look for social media. Well, her words speak for themselves:

“I believe that the brand of any company should be consistent. Wherever you go, whether it’s Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, you must clearly understand that yes, this is the social network of the company that I was looking for.”

Don't Miss ??

#Past

What exactly is a Venture Studio? And why does this approach give startup ideas a better chance at success than launching independently?

I sat down with Trevor Newberry from Harmony Venture Labs to dig into these questions and many more. Copysmith, ListedKit and CoWello are all housed under the umbrella of HVL and we’re excited to launch and grow these amazing products together with Trevor and the whole HVL team.

New ideas need flexibility

Over in the Nano Accelerator , the Selva team is oh-so-close to launching for everyone. But the idea of the social community for science has gone through quite an evolution as we discovered, designed, and built the platform.

I caught up with co-founder Alex Washburne to talk about some of these changes and get a fresh view on what Selva v1 will be. Have a look!

Smash that subscribe button on YouTube, cause you won’t want to miss our new episode (out tomorrow) with Konstantin Kariapin . It’s all about the team’s plans for Web Summit in Lisbon next week.

Here’s a snippet:

“Before I went to my first conference I was a bit nervous. But you know, it’s so easy to overcome these feelings because all you need is to just start talking to someone. Then it goes by itself like a flow — you don’t even have time to think that you’re nervous — it all happens so naturally.”

Launch faster with no-code

One more sweet event to wrap up — on November 17th we’ll have a live webinar all about no-code and low-code tools to launch ideas as fast as possible.

Sign up for the live stream on?YouTube,?LinkedIn?or?Facebook

PS — the hosts Andrew Orsich and Artsiom Kukharenka will take ideas from the audience during the show and suggest a no-code stack to build out the first version of the product ??

Looks like I’m all out of treats — thanks for reading!
