What’s going on in the world of product design and why it matters.
The co-founders of Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g), Dr. Jakob Nielsen and Dr. Don Norman, have chosen a new CEO and will be stepping away from their roles at the company "to pursue their current dreams, like writing and traveling." Read the press release.
Our take
While the co-founders of NN/g were actively involved in their company for 25 years they shaped and impacted much of the educational UX content we know today. You'd do well to brush up on their content as it's considered foundational to UX.
Their departure doesn't signal a decline in the practice of UX but merely a shifting stage of life for these pioneers in UX.
As Nielsen puts it, "Old timers, stop lamenting. Newbies, gear up for a killer decade in UX." (UX Angst of 2023)
