Finding Rainbow: a Journey to Self

Ever heard of the Kasturi Mrig (Musk Deer) who was smitten by the fragrance of this special scent called Kasturi…and the fragrance consumed its whole being and purpose of life … the Deer kept running across the forests, the mountains and cliffs in search of this scent. The Deer spent its entire life searching for Kasturi only to discover much later that the scent was actually emanating from its own body -the scent glands. Something that the Deer had been chasing all its life was actually within.

This story has always been a big influence in the way I look at life and has helped me build perspectives. While going through the coaching program, I found that connection again! The key premise of coaching is based on this fundamental truth- The answers we are looking for are actually within us! Lying somewhere deep and dark, secretly wrapped in layers of ignorance. It only takes a clear stream of light to see. And that light is coaching.

Coaching: A Journey of Self awareness

?Coaching is a journey of self-awareness.?Self-awareness creates choices and possibilities. It creates self-acceptance. What if someone infused the stream of reason in the Deer, enabled it to explore the deeper realms of its own being and allowed it to look at the conflict differently, and ultimately discovering the path to Kasturi. Well…. that would have been a different story!

Personal, Reflective & Transforming:

I find coaching an inward journey- very personal, reflective and transforming.??Almost like paying a visit to your own self and it can be so powerful and soul stirring. As this journey unfolds, it incites curiosity, builds courage to revisit the exiled emotions, illuminates the darkest of alleys in your heart & mind; brings balance, harmony, sometimes redemption too. Paved with unlimited reflections, a space where silence conveys more and where words come out from the depths of truth; the journey is truly magical.

It shatters all the artificial semblance & the concepts that we have been living for the longest time. Almost like?rebooting?the entire thought process and questioning the ingrained mental models.

My biggest epiphany in my reflective moments is that the real noise and chaos that we brave each day is actually not outside but inside us! As we?positively progress?on this path- the echoes of hubris get modestly silent, fear begins to evaporate, the deeply seated self-doubts suddenly look so ungrounded-certain emptiness pervades; The power of questions helps join the dots as we become a time traveler and discoveries follow. As you get more and more centered it's not hard to notice the noise inside starts turning into a beautiful inner voice-?Pure Magic! Experience it. Life is listening to that inner voice and finding the rhythm.

?Finding Rainbow

The coach is an integral part of this journey… just like a glass tumbler- Hollow and speckles a conduit that offers time, space and medium to reflect, observe, think, feel and uncloud judgements. It slows you down just enough and it bends you down just enough - capturing every single wavelength and frequency of the beam of your thoughts to create a Rainbow on the other side. This beautiful Rainbow is co-created by you and most originally yours; has always been……. only a matter of time you found it. What a partnership of a coach and a coachee- Associated and yet Disassociated. It ultimately is beginning to look like the story of the beam of light, glass and the beautiful rainbow and guess what this is no ordinary rainbow it’s the scented rainbow, it’s got the optics and the fragrance both to give you a lifetime of ecstasy-To live more purposefully. And, here is when you have truly arrived- the doors will open on your right and my dear friend as Sir Rudyard Kipling says “Yours’ is the Earth and everything that’s in it”.
