Finding My Ultraviolet Path: A Look Back at Two Years of Living the Dream in the Meantime

For the past two years, I've written, scribbled, and spoken my words because had I tried to hold them in, my brain would have exploded. Now, as the meantime becomes the present, I'm ready to revisit the dream that has never changed.

Living the Dream In the Meantime

As I sift through my digital breadcrumbs and handwritten notes, I'm struck by something profound: I was living my dream even when I thought I was just surviving. Get to No University has always been about a fundamental quest - ruling out what doesn't serve me so that I can passionately pursue what does. Looking back through these fragments of insight, I'm astounded not just by how clear my vision has become, but by how clear it was from the beginning.

A year ago, I wrote about being a ubiquitous introvert - someone who becomes quickly drained by general social demands yet can command immense presence in selective environments. Today, I realize this wasn't just self-description; it was self-discovery. Each note I left myself wasn't just documentation - it was navigation.

For the past two years especially but for my whole life, I've been a hummingbird seeking daily sustenance, but I've also been following an ultraviolet path that was as clear to me in the moments of my greatest despair as it is now on the cusp of triumph. Like a hummingbird seeing ultraviolet nectar guides invisible to human eyes, I was following patterns I couldn't fully articulate but inherently understood.

My notes about personality types, about the nature of introversion and authenticity, about the power of selective engagement - they weren't just observations. They were waypoints on this ultraviolet path. Each insight helped me understand not just who I am, but what I can't not do.

Living the dream in the meantime is still living the dream.

That's the revelation hidden in my trail of breadcrumbs. While circumstances shifted dramatically - including losing my mother exactly one year ago today - they haven't altered the core of my vision. Instead, each challenge has refined it, each setback has clarified it, and each note I left myself has confirmed it.

What I'm discovering now, as I prepare to bring Get to No University into the world, is that I've been building it all along. Every observation, every late-night notation, every voice memo captured in moments of clarity - they weren't just preparation for the dream, they were the dream in action.

The meantime wasn't a waiting room - it was an incubator. And now, as it transforms into the present, I'm not starting something new. I'm simply making visible an ultraviolet path I've been following all along.
