Your shoes tell a lot about the journey you have taken.
In life as in an entrepreneurial journey - freshly minted ideas need the rigour & company of experience. We call them mentors.
While mentors are not easy to find (It is more of what you seek and what you want from a mentor), equally difficult part is to walk the path shown by the Mentors. Mentors sometimes come with a 30000 feet view of our tunnel vision views. They will undoubtedly tell us where the tunnel ends & turns so we have a better grip at navigating the path, I sometimes feel we also need mentors who walk the path with you.
These mentors could be your colleagues, your co workers. No need to seek grey hair as a mandatory quality in a mentor. It could be your business team, your finance team, your operations team, as they will navigate the future with you.

Quoting from a Mckinsey study that you need a microscopic eye ( grassroots level insights) and a Telescopic eye ( Macro level - 30,000 ft view) to run a enterprise. While a senior mentor will do well to give you the Telescopic view, I cannot emphasise more on having many microscopic eyes in the form of your colleagues as your mentors.
Leverage your network within the company & outside to talk to your colleagues - past & present and gain from the insights.
Shifting to a personal anecdote, the title image you see - I clicked it few years back when Ahan was getting ready for his school. Both the shoes have a story to narrate. While I will always help Ahan with a 30,000 feet view, he too needs his friends & school mate to help him traverse the path successfully.
May you find best mentors - both inside & outside your company.

2 年Completely agree. Moresover in my entrepreneurial journey so far, i have learnt that every person you meet internally or externally acts like a mirror. Teaches you or shows you atleast one quality that you lack and the person you meet possess.
