In a dark deep wooden closet tucked somewhere in the ignored corners of the house, a bunch of adults frantically, restlessly tried to find something in the drawers. The drawers had their childhood toys, games, and photo albums.
When asked what do they need? One of them helplessly replied “ I can’t find my laughter”
Growing up has been a loss-making transaction. The world made a fool out of us. It promised a better, richer, smarter, wealthier life and traded our laughter, giggles, and smiles instead of it.
Men and Women in suits in the mad rush of becoming and sounding mature gave up their raw, authentic, and infectious laughter. Weren’t we supposed to shed the childishness and preserve the childlikeness?

What happened to that childhood where the laughs were frequent, we used to fall rolling down on the floor, and our stomachs, and intestines would hurt because we would laugh our lungs out. What happened to that soft, cheerful, chirpy sound of the giggles, why is everyone trying to look smart, give measured smiles, and be scared of laughing out loud? Why are there more LOLs in texts than in the environment?
Maybe it’s time for us to observe kids. How they are unapologetic, unabashed, and unbridled with laughter. How they won’t think twice, how they would throw their legs, swing their arms, open their mouth wide and just laugh! Mindfully, carelessly, and completely.
So take a pause, slow down, drop out of the race and ask yourself – when was the last time you laughed like a child? Do you remember?
Because the fool once again asked the wise man “I want to laugh but I can’t, what can I do? The wise man laughed and said “ Simple! Open your mouth and do ahahhahahahahahahahahh,
