Finding the keys to Observability

Finding the keys to Observability

If you lost your keys at the beach, you would want to find them as soon as possible right? No one wants to resort to walking home in the rain or having to climb through their kitchen window.

Now visualise a business’s applications as the beach. Ben Evans and Charles Humble at Infoworld said it best. “One simple, inescapable conclusion is that software has never been as complex than it is today”.

Applications continue to evolve in complexity and the beach continues to get bigger and bigger. In the past, businesses used metal detectors (APM solutions) to find their keys. Don't get me wrong they worked, but it required much manual effort and took way too long.

Nowadays to quickly find their keys, businesses started to transition to Airtags (Observability). These Airtags let them know exactly how far their keys are and in which direction to look.

An adequate observability solution (an application Airtag) is now a requirement rather than a luxury.

Who knew you could prepare for losing your keys or when you have an application outage. The ability to find them grows more important day by day.
