Finding Joy in Cooking

I must be honest, I do love to cook.
What's always worked for me is to do it with a casual approach. I rarely stick to recipes, I rarely follow any rules and I often make it up as I go along, even when there is a recipe staring back at me.
But some weeks it can feel a bit more like a drag and not as much of a joy. So I randomly one day re-ignited with my old friend, HelloFresh!
I'm not here to sell HelloFresh to you, I'm here to share the benefits of the concept of it with you.
For me, it has sparked my creativity ?? in our kitchen.
HelloFresh introduces us to ingredients ???? and recipes I’d never think to trying on my own.
Suddenly, I was whipping up dishes that looked (and tasted) like they were from a fancy restaurant ??. It freshened up not just our meals, but my approach to cooking overall.
But the real magic? ?
It’s been watching my 16-year-old daughter light up when I say I'm making dinner and join me in the kitchen.
She’s learned how to experiment with food, use unfamiliar tools ????, and understand new flavours ???.
We’ve learned how to toast spices for extra depth and mix new dressings from scratch—things neither of us would have discovered otherwise. And honestly, cooking together now feels less like effort and more like quality time ??.?
HelloFresh isn't for everyone though - and like I said this is more about re-ignite that spark in your kitchen than signing up to HelloFresh!?????
Other ways to re-ignite that spark could be:

Visit a local farmers’ market?????:
Wander the stalls and pick one ingredient you wouldn’t normally cook with. Vendors often have tips or recipes to get you started.
Experiment with new cuisines?????:
Never made Thai curry or shakshuka? Challenge yourself to try cooking dishes from a different country every week.
Explore online recipe platforms?????:
Sites like Pinterest or Yummly are treasure troves of inspiration. Search for “quick dinners” or whatever fits your mood!
If inspiration is what you’re craving, I’d love to help!
Just click reply and comment?“recipe”, and I’ll send you a list of the recipes we made last week ??. Who knows? Maybe they’ll become your family’s next favourites too.
To your health,
Jules
