I recently had an amazing bike ride on my own in Central Park, and it left me feeling inspired and thoughtful. Riding through the park's winding paths and hills I was struck by its peaceful beauty and the interesting stories it holds.
One highlight of my ride was stumbling upon the John Lennon Imagine memorial. While it's a sad reminder of a tragic event, it also carries a hopeful message of unity and imagination. The memorial's mosaic design encourages visitors to envision a better world, which really resonated with me, as I stood over the memorial I soaked in the park's quiet atmosphere, away from the busy city streets.
Next, I found myself drawn to the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. The calm water and scenic views provided a perfect moment for reflection and relaxation. It was a stark contrast to the fast-paced world of technology that often consumes my daily life.
I got off my bike and walked through the Mall area, surrounded by majestic trees and sunlight, I realized how important it is to appreciate nature's beauty amidst our technological advancements. Central Park reminded me to take a break, breathe, and reconnect with the world around me.
In that moment, I decided to write this blog but to also put away my phone and embraced the present. I took a leisurely walk, immersing myself in the sights and sounds of the park, and it felt incredibly refreshing. I also had some amazing honey roasted cashew nuts! Yummy!
So, if you ever feel overwhelmed by modern life, consider taking a break in nature. Step away from your screens, take a walk, and be present in the moment. You might just find the inspiration you've been searching for in the simple beauty of nature.
