Finding Home

This week, I talked to my friend and mentor, @JoseMiguelGuallar. It is always a pleasure and an incredible experience talking to him. He has been exposed to much wisdom, as he is always looking for the source of things and thoughts and different perspectives. Sometimes it is difficult to follow his thoughts, he jumps from one idea to the next without obvious connections for the untrained eye, he talks using many metaphors, and you have to be patient and then see what it is that you understand.

We talked about home, where is home. He sent me a meme that said: "you know that you are home when you drop all your plans to escape". It could be a relationship, a job, a city, and we may be secretly developing intends to run, which show up in our minds. When they stop, it is a sign that we have reached home.

Another thought that he shared and is still growing with me is about having a psychological inner house, or an inner hut. What is there? What comes to mind for me is to create a sacred space inside myself, where to be connected with the sacredness of life and the joy of being alive in the present moment. Also to be connected to what it is that we want to create in the world.

I would picture my inner hut in Nature, maybe in a forest, close to a river, or maybe on the coast, close to the sea, and the wind coming from it. A space of heart, of cherished relationships, of dreams, of being. I would also include a good amount of determination.

Have you reached home? Are you planning to escape? How will you beautify your inner hut? How clear is your vision, and how strong is your determination?
