DISH has an incredible and contagious entrepreneurial spirit that drives us to remain on the cutting edge, be curious and take calculated risks. We go where other companies have not gone before and are not afraid to be the first or to fail. It’s by failing and learning that we win. 

I’m a believer that we all have an entrepreneur within us in some capacity. Even at a very large corporation like DISH, we can be entrepreneurs. This can take the form of embracing the entrepreneurial mentality as a leader of department or team or project. 

When you start thinking like an entrepreneur you begin taking ownership and pride in what you do. You become invested in the achievements and want to do what it takes to win. Having this mindset allows for increased adaptability which plays an important role in success. 

I’d encourage each of you to think how finding the entrepreneur in you can help you grow.

This is so important for an organization to thrive!!? There is a great study by Bain that shows the key ingredient to the top 5% of the Fortune 2000 with the highest annual returns (revenue and profit) was an overwhelming Ownership Mentality in the organization.?
