Tax time. It's that time again in the US.
Several clients have been in touch lately about challenges they are facing regarding their taxes and financial situation. Looking for support and options about how to navigate this terrain. So I thought, "I'll write a blog. What a great topic!"
I started writing. And writing. And before I knew it I had over 1500 words and it still didn't feel right or done. There was so much more to say. And the voice/tone didn't feel right.
Despite many hours spent on this post, it wasn't working. That post was my planned topic for this newsletter. But it wasn't aligned to push the send button ...
So I stopped. Paused. Listened.
And what came is that each of the people I am in dialogue with is facing a very different situation. One blog post couldn't cover all this.
And it's the first Wednesday of the month. The scheduled time for my newsletter to go out (I send them twice a month).
The message that was staring me in the face is if we want our business to thrive, it's a very wise choice to create a marketing plan with specific action steps that happen at specific frequencies. And it's also very wise to bring a mindset of deep listening and flexibility about what is the right message that's aligned to share in a given moment - whether via newsletter, video, face to face networking, etc.
Building the muscle of showing up in our business AND bringing a mindset of flexibility rather than one of rigidity. As I enter my 13th year of being in business, this is something I'm increasingly getting better at and helping my clients with.
