Finding Companions on the Journey

Finding Companions on the Journey

One of the most transformative shifts in leadership and executive coaching occurs when you surround yourself with the right people. Every organization has Naysayers and Doubters who distract and drain you, but they also have Champions and Explorers who share your vision, challenge you to grow, and actively contribute to maximizing your success. Unfortunately, the world encourages you to spend 80% of your time fruitlessly trying to get those Naysayers and Doubters on board when you could be investing that time with the Champions and Explorers who align with your purpose. When you make this paradigm shift, your momentum builds, your impact multiplies, and your opportunities for meaningful change accelerate.

To identify your Champions and Explorers, ask yourself:

  • Who actively supports my mission and aspirations?
  • Who challenges my thinking and inspires me to grow?
  • Who sharpens my focus and decision-making?
  • Who works alongside me with energy and dedication?
  • Who brings me joy, fulfillment, and a sense of shared purpose?

By prioritizing these relationships, your leadership influence expands, your ability to drive meaningful change strengthens, and your personal fulfillment deepens. Letting go of those who resist forward momentum frees you to spend more time where it truly matters—with the people who are invested in making progress.

Make this the year you embrace those who will help you move forward. Make this the time to lead boldly and authentically toward the future you envision. When you’re ready to deepen your impact or have a conversation about your journey, I’m here to help you connect with kindred spirits who also choose positivity over negativity. The path ahead is one of purpose, transformation, and extraordinary leadership—and it’s an honor to walk it with you.

Want to talk about this more? Let's connect!

Mary Scifres This is so important and the right people! "Who brings me joy, fulfillment, and a sense of shared purpose?" Doesn't even have to be about work I have found. If you are solid in who you are... you are ready for the changes to happen. So many people go negative...who brings you that positivity? Thanks for your expertise!
