Ever been at a seriously low point and wondered, Why me?
I’ve been there. I think it’s safe to say a lot of us have. That feeling that everything has crumbled, leaving you questioning how you’ll ever move forward.
But here’s the thing about rock bottom…it isn’t just a low point. It can actually be a place of deep clarity.
When you’re really low, it’s hard to see a way forward. But in these moments, I’ve learned that leaning on my network, close friends, and faith has made all the difference. Their support reminds me of my strength and gives me the courage to take that next step, even when the path isn’t clear.
Recently, several friends have reached out, also navigating the uncertainty of layoffs and restructuring. Knowing they’re going through similar challenges has been a reminder that none of us are alone in this experience. It’s been powerful to see how much strength we can draw from one another, lifting each other up when everything feels overwhelming.

Sometimes, in that dark place, you’re able to see what truly matters. The distractions fade, and what’s left is you—along with the people who help you find resilience when things feel uncertain. Reaching out to your community can be an incredible source of clarity, helping you remember who you are and all the good times you’ve had.
It’s natural to feel daunted by the climb back up. It can be a long, challenging journey. But all of it—the highs, the lows, and the moments of stillness in between—is building you into the person you’re meant to be.
So if you’re facing a tough moment, remember, it’s okay to trust the journey, even if you can’t see the whole path ahead. And don’t hesitate to lean on those around you. They’re there to lift you up.
Ever been at rock bottom? What’s something you learned from that place? Share your thoughts in the comments—your wisdom could be the encouragement someone else needs to find their way forward.
