The Secret Superstar is a story of a girl living with a dream in her heart, struggling to reach out to people across the World with her Voice. I won’t share the entire story but will surely share how the movie can change your life:
1. Insiya dreams, do you!
Insiya loves singing, she dreams of singing in front of an audience, reaching out to people with her Voice. She has a Voice, do you?
Your voice can be a skill, a talent, or a natural inclination which sparks your heart.
Invest time in finding your Voice! But that’s not enough, you need…
2. Support from your Family:
Family is your back bone.
They take care of the background so that you can work on your dreams. They provide you with resources, the exposure that you need to succeed, more importantly they give you “TIME” to follow your dreams. But there is a hurdle…
3. What will others think:
We are more concerned about what people would say when we pursue our dreams and that's a problem.
Be bold, be open, be honest.
Same happened with Insiya in the movie, what she was doing was not accepted as a norm in her family, but did it stop her! No, because she had..
4. Courage to fight:
She didn’t stop but used a burqa to cover her face while she made a YouTube video singing at her best! She could have given up, but her mother gave her the idea of using a burqa, which she accepted, though reluctantly.
Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it
But you can’t succeed without…
5. An Audience:
Hidden talent serves no purpose, you need to find your audience.
Doing good work is just one thing, reaching out to people is another. Several talents have died because they were not discovered by the right people. Don’t let that happen to you. This is what can help you…
6. Perseverance:
Despite of her not getting a break in her field, she kept a positive attitude.
Giving up is easy, but not the right thing always.
An attitude of not giving up, she finally reached out to Shakti Kumar, a music enthusiast, who wasn’t doing well professionally. Finally…
7. She got an opportunity:
She worked with Shakti Kumar and came up with a beautiful song. Her song was nominated for the best song in the Awards and finally she got what she deserved in the end.
In the end, everything falls in place
In the end she acknowledged...
8. The Support:
You can’t do it all alone, you would need support of people around, your family, friends, mentors and guides. If you are stuck somewhere simply ask for help. Keep your ego aside and try “Asking,” it might help you Succeed.
Find your Voice, find your Audience.
