It is apparent that the idea of a "true calling" and the process of discovering one's life's purpose is becoming more and more popular. There is growing interest in the work-life balance concept, which is becoming more mainstream. As a result, it is quickly becoming an integral part of how we think about our professional and personal lives.
Many people hate mornings - morning work dread is probably just part of your routine. But if you feel like there's more to it than an intolerance for early mornings, it might be worth looking into some other deeper fears. Career anxiety is on the rise among both young and old workers. The work environment can be challenging, but it's essential to find your drive, ambition, and inspiration to keep going. Unfortunately, high levels of workplace stress are making this even more difficult.
Discovering your Ikigai is a life-changing experience. It is a culmination of what you love to do, how you can contribute to society and get paid for it.
The Japanese word ikigai is a compound of two words: iki, which means "to live," and kai, which means "reason for being." It is said that people with an ikigai are happier and healthier than those without one. The term reflects the Japanese philosophy that we all should strive to identify why we were born to enjoy life and achieve fulfillment.
It works on the basis of finding where four significant parts of your life intersect:
When your ikigai comprises all four parts, you'll find true happiness. When you're doing something that lets each part of your ikigai meet at the same time, there's a feeling that can't be matched by anything else.
You may feel the overlap between two areas of your life right now, but you still feel like something is missing. For example, do you have enough money to live comfortably but feel like you're missing out on something? This might mean that you should invest in looking your Ikigai.
The Ikigai concept originates in Okinawa, a Japanese island home to the highest ratio of people living past 100 years of age. Thus, if you follow its teachings, it's believed that you will have a happy and long life.
Finding your ikigai can be difficult, but it's good to look for inspiration and find your true calling. We can use the ikigai method to discover our purpose in life by answering four critical questions:

What do you love?
The true calling is the intersection between what the world needs and what you can be paid to do. The best way to figure out what you should be doing with your life is to think about how the work you want to dedicate yourself to will positively affect people, protect or improve something in society, or provide meaning for your life.
What are you good at?
Now is the time to write about what you know intimately and that you're passionate about. Take your time thinking about all of the compliments that people give you and build on them, don't shy away from them.
What does the world need?
Now, think about how your small contribution can make the world a little better. This kind of thinking lets you go about your contribution without worrying about huge responsibilities. What is something that makes you feel good and is important?
What are the things that people value and pay you for?
You might answer your current job, of course! If your current job has allowed you to experience what you love and what the world needs, that's great. Most people aren't in that position. Make sure to think carefully about what abilities or skills you have that will fulfill these criteria and can help other people
Now is time to put the answers together
Draw all the answers on a paper with four circles intersecting each other, attempt to put all your answers together, and you might find your true calling.
We often find ourselves wandering through life without a clear sense of direction. Sometimes, we think we understand what we want, but often, the reality is that we are going through life on autopilot. When we find our ikigai, it's as if a lightbulb has been turned on in the darkroom of our lives. Then, suddenly, everything becomes clear, and we see a path to follow that will lead to happiness and fulfillment. When you have found your Ikigai, you have found something that feels right for you and will make you happy.?
Summary :?
Ikigai is an approach that helps people figure out what matters to them and how to explore that. It may not just be about rewarding economic status, but it also enables you to reflect on your own personal journey to your true calling.
