Lot of people assume and feel that they love something but when they try it, they feel miserable; and vice versa is also true!
Get out of your comfort zone
Here the key point is you got to try it! You have to get out of your comfort zone and try something new to experience it, if you really love it or hate it. Instead of cribbing and cursing, that I wish I had that job, I wish I had that degree, I wish I would have tried that; make your wish/dream come true by actually doing something rather than just dreaming.

Found my passion
I am a computer science graduate student, but my heart falls for management. I thought I want to be a Business Analyst or Consultant. But I had no idea what they do? I did not apply for any developer position and I was very nervous because even some of my professor told me that I am doing a stupid thing. I did not listen and kept on applying to all the management positions.
Finally, I found an internship in project management at EXL and I was very excited as it was in management. But, I never knew what project management was all about, now I am interning as Project Manager and guess what? I absolutely love it!
Of course, I was overwhelmed at the beginning but now after 2 weeks of my internship, I feel Project Management is meant for me!
Love what you do
I just wanted to write this to inspire people like me who are still finding their passion and trying to understand what is meant for them! Trust me - if you haven't found it yet, you will find it. But the only way to find is to give it a try, because if you won't try it you will never know.
Today is a Friday morning and I am not happy that I have a weekend to relax and enjoy, rather I am little upset that I am going to miss my work.
