Find your Passion – Part 2….

I had written a post in Linkedin on “Find Your Passion” around 4 years back and happened to read the above quote from Oprah Winfrey today. It truly resonated with what I feel today as I follow my passion for Singing which excites me immensely.

What started off as an honest attempt during the Covid Lockdown has now totally consumed me and I can really feel the adrenalin rush when I post my songs on social media sites and see the comments and reactions.

I would like to pen down below my journey towards unravelling my Passion which is Singing. As I had also said in my earlier post, I am a big fan of Bollywood Singer Legend Kishore Kumar and attempt to sing his songs. Whilst no one can match the Legend, atleast it gives you a Goal Post of what lies ahead. This is the first step.

One need ?to make sincere attempts to finetune and nurture the passion and I am going about the same in all earnest. I have now enrolled into a Semi Classical Singing Class so that I could learn the nuances of singing and help render my songs more effectively and melodiously. As they say, “No One is Perfect”? but as the saying also goes “Practise Makes one Perfect” and this has stayed with me as I continue to find my inner strength and make efforts to further fine tune my singing prowess.

I have also continued my singing attempts in my YouTube channel ( link attached herewith : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeRJglWuJYuBNPbL74lSKuw. I am glad to state that today this YouTube channel of mine has over 280+ songs sung by me. I have also curated some of my most liked songs ( by viewers) ?under a separate playlist. Whilst , I agree that all my songs may not be up to the mark but I could personally see a marked improvement in my singing over a period of time.?

As I was looking back on my journey in Singing and tried to capture the milestone moments ( or aha moments if you may), I could list down some of my Aha moments as below :

The above are some of the interesting and exciting events in my journey and these kind of validations spur you to do more and dig further deep to try and further up your level.?

As they say Learning never stops and is a continuous process, I continue to spend time listening? to great singers, learn from them, try to improve my singing talent which gives me immense joy.

?In summary all I would like to say is do follow your passion, take appropriate steps to be good at it, keep practicing, try and get validations / feedbacks along the way to guide you on the right path and even if you fail, do not give up…. We cannot always be the best but atleast following one’s passion would help be a great stress buster in our day to day lives and help improve our overall well being.
